Update 1.2.0


A new big update and probably the last, i wanted to add all the stuff you can see in this changelog since the first release, and now i'm very happy of the actual game state. In the end this was just a little game jam project but i really wanted to give it  a big polish to make it shine with other castlevania fan games on the web.

  • ADDED: boss rush (defeat all boss one after another without dying)
  • ADDED: completition marks on the main menu (question mark for locked characters, gray head as default, colored head for story mode or bossh rush completed and gold head for both done) plus a percentage that become gold 100% when all 3 character are gold
  • ADDED: particle effect to the falling platform
  • ADDED: button to exit both in pause manu and in the main menu
  • ADDED: OST and particles effect to the main menu
  • ADDED: unlockable secondary skins for every character, based on other media like the netflix series and smash bros (unlocked by completing story and boss rush with each)
  • ADDED: challenges, no death run for the story mode and no hit run for the boss rush (indicted by a simbol on the right of the GUI only when playing singleplayer) completing the challenges awards you with a percentage of completition up to 200%
  • Reworked the boss Monstrous Bat, it used to just randomly fly around the room, now fly only in the upper section and has two special attacks
  • Reworked Flying terror, it can now fly also vertically, and will randomly throw bones to the player, he has also a wiggle effect.
    Reduced Reborn damages
  • The mouse cursor is now invisible when the game is fullscreen
  • Rost Pot now heal the secret character of only 2 points instead of 5 (he has half max hearth and now half healing)
  • Better controller support. You can now use a gamepad in singleplayer. You can now use two gamepad in multiplayer. Gamepad controls now work also in the main menu
  • Breakable block of various color now create particles of similar color
  • Sigil altars now have half max life if the game is in single player
  • Changed layout of the final part and boss arena in level 1 and in level 2
  • Changed some tiles and moved checkpoint to a more confy location in level 5 
  • Added more gears in level 6, background gears are now darker, the zombies on the bottom floor don't spawn inside wall anymore
  • You can now toggle fullscreen also in the main menu
  • Changed the '=' between hearts icon and number in the GUI with a '-'
  • Added level number over level titels
  • Removed OST original game from the text that appear at the begginging of each level (there were too much stuff on screen)
  • The level name and ost text now appear from the top (it was from the left)
  • FIXED: bug with the falling platform
  • FIXED: death boss battle (scythes dosen't appear too near to the players and under the terrain)
  • FIXED: fireball sprite that was mirrored when traveling to right
  • FIXED: Corrupted Lizard Boss spawn
  • FIXED: some bugs when the player die from falling (multiple ost start, can't die when falling off screen)
  • FIXED: a bug that prevent the player from dying while on stairs, you can't no more jump on stairs while taking damage
  • FIXED: the full screen stay consistent beetween main menu and game levels
  • FIXED: a bug that caused the first boss to stuck on the walls
  • FIXED: you can now tooggle fullscreen also while in the pause menu
